update
One evening Cora turned over and looked at me and said, "Mommy don'tworry, people all over the world are praying for me." I wasdumbfounded...how on earth did she know that? Children do know morethan we give them credit for.
I am so thankful there is a loving God that hears our prayers and touches our lives. My little angel Cora is home with us and doing very well. The excitement is hard to contain when you see a child go from not being able to walk and having horrific pain that causes her to cry out in pain to the very next morning seeing her get up and walk normally before everyone's eyes. The doctor that admitted her was so amazed...he asked her what happened and she proudly told him, "God healed me".
She is laughing, running, jumping and having a grand time!
Thank you for your prayers and contributions.
A grateful and loving mother!

Update on Cora
First I want to say thank you to all of you for your emails, blog posts, donations, thoughts and prayers. It is so appreciated and reassuring to know that there is such a support group here.
This is the most overwhelming time in my life.
Cora has been admitted to the Children's Hospital in Knoxville, TN. They were unable to get her in for an MRI today because they are so backed up, however they will be doing an MRI tomorrow (Friday) at 3PM.
After being examined by the Orthopedic Pediatrician they now believe that Cora has a disease known as Osteomyelitis. Through the MRI they believe they will be able to confirm this diagnosis.
Apparently Osteomyelitis is a affliction that is rare as only 2 in 100,000 get it. It is an acute or chronic infection in the bone, also known as bone death. The doctor feels like it has been caught in time and that Cora will not have to endure what others have gone through and that she has a great chance of recovery...we will know more after the MRI.
Again thank you again for your thoughts, prayers and donations of time and money.
A very grateful and loving mother.

Medical Bills piling up
Our 4 year old daughter is ill and we need your help!
This past Saturday evening after we returned from the cookout when all of a sudden our 4 year old daughter started having trouble walking. We took her to the emergency room and she told the doctors that she had tripped and fallen so they assumed (since the x-ray showed no breaks) that she may have some torn muscle and told us to watch her and to keep it iceddown and bandaged.
Well Sunday she seemed to be fine except for a slight limp. Monday morning she seemed even better, so we assumed the doc was correct. Then Monday afternoon she began to limp more and I just thought she had used it too much...until Tuesday around 6am when I heard a cry of "Mommy, I can't get up." I took her to the doctor who thought it was nothing but decided that to be safe they should do some blood tests and hip x-rays.
Today I received a call from the doctor who has told us that he will be making an appointment for her with a Pediatric Orthopedist because he fears that she may actually have septic hip (http://orthopedics.about.com/od/pediatrichipinjuries/a/infection.htm)
Today they did an ultrasound hips and it showed clear of fluid on her hip, however the new battery of blood test did not hold good news, her white count is too high and according to the orthopedist, whom we have yet to meet, says that her blood shows inflammation in it...I don't understand how that is, but I am not a
doctor.
Tomorrow, Thursday I will be taking my little angel back to Children's Hopsital where they will be doing an MRI. Until then I know nothing, other than the doctor told me to pack a bag and plan on staying.
I hate asking for donations, but could really use the help, especially now that our daughter has been stricken with an illness that is as of yet a mystery.
A loving and grateful mother!
Michelle
